METRO East/West Connector Alignment Planning Study
Houston, Texas
This project was a planning study to connect proposed Southeast Transit Corridor to a future transit corridor west of Downtown. This connection would cross the existing Metro Light Rail line between Dowling (US 59) and Bagby (IH 45) along Capital, Rusk, Walker & McKinney streets within downtown Houston. IDC collected data on right-of-way, utilities, drainage, and tunnel systems for various alignments. Evaluated alternative alignments including at grade and below grade subway options. Prepared cost estimates, typical sections, alignment maps, and system plans for proposed East/West Light Rail Connector Line.
