Rosenberg, Texas

IDC is providing Program Management services for this project.  IDC conducted meetings with the A/E team, contractors, school district staff, a design committee comprised of campus faculty, community members, the school district maintenance department and administration to aid in the development of the design.  In addition, IDC furnished the school district and A/E team with construction cost budgets based on each level of design.

The primary goal of the program is to consolidate the school into one campus site while being sensitive to the existing historical architecture.

In order to achieve this, a master plan was developed to facilitate the project to be completed in multiple phases. The first phase will add a 25 classroom addition with a new library to be located on the south side of the Main Building, and expansion of the existing cafeteria, A complete renovation of the Main Building including relocation and expansion of the administration area and clinic, new interior finishes throughout, new HVAC system, new fire alarm system, an automatic fire sprinkler system, parking and detention, and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  All of this work will be accomplished while the school remains in operation.

The second phase will demolish the existing Annex and Cafeteria Buildings allowing the construction of a new building addition that will resemble the architectural theme of the campus.  The new building will have a new cafeteria, gymnasium/recreation area, and classrooms.  In addition, the roof and canopies at the Main Building will be replaced.  The final product will be a new school and redeveloped playground/park area all on one campus, without sacrificing the historical significance of the Main Building.
