The scope of this project includes planning, alternative analysis, preliminary engineering, preparation of schematics, Phase I environmental site assessment, surveying, right-of-way mapping, geotechnical investigation, drainage (hydrology & hydraulics), public involvement, and agency coordination. TxDOT is giving primacy to the County & project to be financed & let by the FBGPTRA. The project also includes preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) to include ROW acquisition, geotechnical investigation, roadway & drainage design, utility relocations, surveying, TxDOT coordination, and construction management services. The project extends from US 59 (Southwest Freeway) to North of Rabbs Bayou along Crabb River Road. It includes constructing new concrete Southbound frontage roads for SH 99 (Grand Parkway) with curb & gutter system from US 59 to Rabbs Bayou. The existing two-way Crabb River Road will be converted to a 3-lane road, Northbound Grand Parkway with new overlay and existing storm sewer and open ditch systems. The new frontage road includes right-of-way takings, and coordination with various drainage systems (Middle Bayou and Rabbs Bayou). The approximate $6 Million project is 100% being funded by the Fort Bend Grand Parkway Toll Road Authority.
