West Holcombe Area Water Line Replacement, Houston, TX
Client: City of HoustonThe project consisted of replacing water line sizes of 4 inches, 6 inches, 8 inches, 12 inches, and 16 inches extending over 26,000 linear feet including service reconnections, fire hydrants, taps, valves, and total restoration. Scope of work included site restoration, removal and replacement of sidewalks, street repair, asphalt pavement, sod replacement, and ADA wheelchair accessibility. IDCUS provided Construction Engineering & Inspection services for the replacement of water lines in a residential area in southwest Houston, bounded by West Holcombe Boulevard, Mont Clair Drive, University Boulevard, and South Main. IDCUS prepared daily construction reports, logs, and cost estimates. IDCUS documented contractors’ activities, quantities, and pay requests. IDCUS also provided Construction Inspection reviews and confirmation of contractors’ performance with construction documents, city specifications, and assisted with investigating and resolving field issues.
