This $6.8 Million project consisted of the demolition of the existing Toll Plaza, reconfiguring lanes while coordinating the activation of an all-electronic facility. The project included the replacement of main span asphalt overlay on the Ship Channel Bridge (Beltway 8 between SH 225 & IH 10).  The project also included installation of dynamic message signs (DMS), illumination, overhead signing, and installation of metal beam guard fencing and pavement markings. IDCUS is performing professional engineering services for “On-Call” full Construction Management & Inspection Services for the Ship Channel Project through a Resident Engineer (RE) & Construction Management (CM) staff to insure the project is constructed as per HCTRA plans & specifications.  IDCUS services include coordinating inspection staff to monitor construction activities, preparing and reviewing daily inspection reports, coordinating the material testing lab, processing Requests for information and submittals, reviewing material testing results, and coordinating between different contractors and governmental agencies, conducting weekly progress meetings, and preparing agendas and meeting minutes.

As the Owner’s representative, IDCUS is also responsible for monitoring the progress of work and reviewing construction schedules using P6.  The Resident Engineer manages and resolves field conflicts and manages the change order and claim process.
